July 6th 2002 and we are playing on the back of a flat-bed being driven through the streets of Oxted as part of the Oxted Carnival. The guys could barely stand up in those shoes on a non-moving surface, so I’m amazed they survived intact.
The previous year at the Gatwick Hilton, we performed for the Oxted Round Table Ladies Night. In a classic misstep we were joined by a keyboard-player, Louise, who was great but did not actually have any keyboards!
