“Tour” trips started in 1999 with a great trip to the Bulls Head in Newton-le-Willows, then the 2003 Village Hall parties in Llangunllo and Michaelchurch Escley followed by Wetwang in 2004.
But it was the 2005 “Exterminatour” when Andy upped the ante, transport-wise, by hiring a limo!
October 7th was at Presteigne British Legion and the following night a party in Shrewsbury.
Navigating the narrow central streets of Shrewsbury to get us to the hotel was a real test of the driver’s excellent skills.
The next year, the Xxxmas tour of 2006, my suggestion that we all travel with the gear (to rein in the extravagance) backfired – when Andy hired a tour bus!! It had been used by the Scissor Sisters before us.
On a memorable return to Llangunllo Village Hall we were made up for the show.
